    Participants Profile

    This Academy targets:

    • Implementers: Implementers are responsible for operationalizing and scaling up the DHIS2 configuration. Implementers work with all other members within the DHIS2 technical team and across departments and programmes within the Ministry in order to understand a system’s requirements and develop solutions to meet them. This includes adding additional functionality, integrating new programs, modifying routines to incorporate DHIS2 and supporting users to use the application.
    • Data Scientists: A data scientist is a professional who utilizes statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming skills to extract insights and knowledge from structured and unstructured data. They play a crucial role in helping organizations make data-driven decisions by analyzing complex data sets, developing predictive models, and visualizing data to communicate findings effectively.

    Learning Outcomes

By the end of the DHIS2 Data Quality Academy, you’ll be able to:

    • Identify key data quality issues in DHIS2 — including data element completeness, facilities consistently reporting, consistency over time, denominators, and outliers
    • Analyze the root causes behind common data quality challenges using built-in DHIS2 tools and dashboards
    • Apply the DHIS2 Data Quality Toolkit to monitor and interpret changes in data quality metrics over time
    • Evaluate which preventive measures are most effective in improving data quality in your context

    Please Note:

To help set expectations, please note that this academy will focus primarily on identifying and investigating data quality issues. Due to time limitations and the online format, we won’t be covering the step-by-step configuration of data quality metrics during this session.
