Strategic priorities for the DHIS2 platform

The DHIS2 software roadmap is based on a collaborative prioritization process, which includes input from a wide range of stakeholders and results in clearly defined strategic priorities. These are the current high-level strategic priorities that inform which DHIS2 software features we are focusing on:

    1. Improved functionality to maintain & sustain high quality DHIS2 implementations, including improved performance for large-scale aggregate and tracker implementations, enhanced metadata management and integrity, and data model updates to support key sectors.
    2. Better support for interoperability, extensibility, and local innovation, including broader support for data collection extensions and standards-based integration of data from external individual-level data systems using FHIR.
    3. Increased support for good systems architecture, bringing together datasets and making data available in a user-friendly way, including integrated tracker-to-aggregate within DHIS2, better support for visualization and access to data.

Features planned for upcoming DHIS2 software releases

Below, you can browse features that are currently planned for inclusion in upcoming major DHIS2 software versions for both core (bundled) DHIS2 web applications and the DHIS2 Android application. You can click the “ROADMAP” links next to each individual feature to read more about them on Jira.
