DHIS2 Applications
DHIS2 is designed as an application platform, allowing you fine-tuned control over which versions of the core DHIS2 apps are used in your system, plus the freedom to install custom applications from the larger DHIS2 community–or develop your own!

DHIS2 web apps developed by HISP UiO
The core DHIS2 software platform and applications are developed by the HISP Centre at the University of Oslo (HISP UiO). These include “core” apps that are bundled with major software versions, as well as optional apps that provide more specialized functionalities that are not needed in all DHIS systems. Updates to core DHIS2 apps are available through continuous release, and new versions can be downloaded and installed at any time.
Explore our current applications below, and click on the “AppHub” or “GitHub” link for any app for more details, documentation, and installable files (if you can’t see the app display on this page, click here). To see a timeline of releases for DHIS2 core apps, click here.
DHIS2 Android mobile app
To complement our web-based software platform, HISP UiO also develops the DHIS2 Android Capture app, which provides online and offline support for data collection and analysis on mobile phones, tablets, and other devices running the Android operating system.

Custom applications developed by the DHIS2 community
The open architecture of DHIS2 makes it easy to extend the features of the system through custom applications. Applications developed by organizations and individuals in the global DHIS2 community can be submitted to the DHIS2 App Hub. Provided they meet our criteria for security and openness, these apps are made available for download and use by DHIS2 users around the world.
