DHIS2 is an open source, web-based platform most commonly used as a health management information system (HMIS). Today, DHIS2 is the world’s largest HMIS platform, in use by 80 low and middle-income countries. Approximately 3.2 billion people live in countries where DHIS2 is used. Including NGO-based programs, DHIS2 is in use in more than 100 countries, impacting the lives of billions.
The Million Lives Collective recognizes the importance of a customer-centric focus in global development and believes that collectively highlighting social innovators that have reached transformative numbers of clients will act as a powerful platform to encourage the uptake and scaling of innovations for good, everywhere.Â
We are proud to share this recognition with the entire HISP network and all members of the global DHIS2 community who have helped make the DHIS2 project a success. We congratulate our fellow new members, and look forward to collaborating with the Million Lives Collective!
