HISP Highlights June 2026
The June 2026 HISP Highlights post features the latest news, achievements, and updates from across our global HISP network.
June was defined by one big gathering in Oslo—the 2026 DHIS2 Annual Conference, which brought together 371 in-person participants from 63 countries and over 1,000 online attendees, alongside the first-ever DHIS2 Climate & Health Academy. HISP groups, partners and donors from around the world traveled to Oslo to take part in the sessions, working groups, and conversations that shaped the week.
Beyond Oslo, the month brought new system launches and milestones across the network: the Education in Emergencies Management Information System went live in South Sudan through a joint effort by HISP Uganda and HISP Tanzania, HISP Ethiopia advanced digital transformation in both health and education data systems, HISP India brought a new electronic medical record system online in Karnataka, and HISP Rwanda supported the validation of a predictive malaria tool in Comoros. HISP colleagues also represented DHIS2 on the global stage, from UN Open Source Week in New York to the Novo Nordisk Foundation Global Science Summit in Copenhagen.
