DHIS2 News: DHIS2 is now listed on GovStack’s online GovMarket
DHIS2 has been added to GovStack’s GovMarket, an online marketplace that connects governments and software providers to accelerate the digital transformation of government services by leveraging DPGs for DPI.
GovStack has added DHIS2 to its GovMarket, a curated marketplace of digital solutions that help governments use digital public goods (DPGs) to build and strengthen digital public infrastructure (DPI). Led by the International Telecommunication Union, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Digital Impact Alliance, GovStack promotes the use of reusable and interoperable digital building blocks to accelerate digital transformation in the public sector.
DPGs, which are freely available resources like open-source software, open data, AI models, open standards, and open content, are designed to make technology accessible to all. At their core is open-source software, which are collaboratively developed tools that anyone can use, modify, and share. DPI refers to foundational digital systems—like digital identification, payments, and data exchange—that enable secure, inclusive, and scalable public services.
GovStack has designated DHIS2 as Building Block Software in the Digital Registries category, meaning it meets GovStack’s functional and technical requirements for storing, managing and sharing structured data that is critical to government services, such as health records, education data, and administrative registries. This designation helps governments more easily identify, evaluate, and procure software solutions that fit their digital strategies.
By listing DHIS2 in GovMarket, GovStack makes it easier for governments to explore how this platform can support their digital ecosystems, and acknowledges the key role DHIS2 plays as a flexible, open-source component of DPI, advancing digital transformation worldwide. Its inclusion in GovMarket reinforces the HISP network’s commitment to building open, scalable, and sustainable digital infrastructure that empowers governments and communities everywhere.
