DHIS2 Investors & Partners Join HISP UiO for 2026 Annual Meeting
Representatives from 13 global organizations gathered in Oslo to discuss priorities for HISP collaboration, support for strengthening the DHIS2 platform, and innovating with country stakeholders to meet emerging digitalization demands.
The HISP Centre at the University of Oslo (HISP UiO) hosted the annual in-person meeting of DHIS2 investors and partners in Oslo, Norway, 2-3 September, 2026.
Over the course of two intensive days, HISP UiO shared updates on key DHIS2 and HISP network initiatives and presented financial projections and updates on our funding and governance models–including the launch of the DHIS2 Shared Services Fee and Technology Partners Program. We also highlighted gaps and potential opportunities for future investment that are aligned with HISP’s 2026-2028 strategy and emerging demands in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), such as supporting digitalization of primary healthcare (PHC), responsible use of AI to improve data collection and analysis, and leveraging the Chap Modeling Platform for forecasting in contexts such as health supply chain and disease surveillance.Â
The leadership team of HISP UiO also facilitated discussions between partners on aligning priorities and coordinating funding to help achieve our shared goals of strengthening country-owned information systems in low- and middle-income countries to help achieve national development goals.
We were happy to be joined at the meeting by many of our long-term partners, including Norad, Wellcome, Gavi, the Global Fund, UNICEF, WHO, the World Diabetes Foundation, and the Gates Foundation, as well as new partners such as IFRC and the European CDC and several organizations that are exploring partnership with us, such as CIFF, KOICA, and the U.S. State Department Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy.
HISP UiO and the HISP network look forward to continuing to work with our investors and partners to help countries transform public sector governance by making data available and actionable.
